If you happened to notice a bunch of squad cars, ambulances and armored vehicles parked outside a building downtown, don't panic.
The River Valley Tactical Response Team was just getting trained on the latest rescue techniques today.
But the scene still looked and sounded pretty real.
The team, made up of law enforcement agencies from Mankato, North Mankato, St. Peter, and Blue Earth and Nicollet counties responds to crisis situations that require special equipment and tactics.
"Everything within law enforcement is continually changing, so we have to do a lot of continuing education, and keep up on our training, and it's very important," explains team commander Paul Hagen.
And even though this was only practice, the situations were realistic ones, to make sure the team is as prepared as possible for when a real crisis happens.
