We're learning more about a New Ulm doctor accused of stealing pain medication from a vulnerable adult.

David Miller is facing three felony controlled-substance charges in Brown County Court.  Authorities say the licensed physician is believed to have stolen anywhere from 50-60 narcotic pain pills.

Friday, officials told News 12 Miller is also the medical director for the Brown County Evaluation Center.  The facility handles persons who are admitted for detoxification purposes.

Officials say it is undetermined at this point if Miller will resume his role there.  In the meantime, two other physicians have stepped in at the detox center.

Earlier this week, a spokesperson for New Ulm Medical Center told News 12 Miller is still an employee at the local hospital.

According to state records, the doctor is scheduled to make a court appearance on the charges he's facing on March 19th
