Saint Paul, MN -

Hundreds of volunteers are trying to light their way into the record books.

Some 300 people have come to help an artist create a project composed of more than half a million Lite-Brite pieces.

Those involved are hoping the project is so big, it will land in the Guinness Book of World Records.

The work was commissioned by the Saint Paul Foundation as part of the 'Forever Saint Paul Challenge.'

Any Minnesota resident 12 and up is invited to submit an idea that will make the city great.

The winning submission gets one million dollars.
