A snowmobiler is dead after spending 20 minutes in the freezing water.
The incident happened, near Stillwater on Saturday.
Washington County officials say the sled operator didn't break through the ice, but rather drove his snowmobile straight onto open water.
Emergency responders rushed to the scene and pulled a 22–year–old man from the icy conditions.
The individual was pronounced dead at the hospital.
