A change to the so-called "slayers bill" has passed the Minnesota State Senate this afternoon. The House version of the bill, sponsored by State Rep. Tony Cornish (R-Good Thunder), was driven by a local murder case.

A one-vehicle rollover near Sleepy Eye left a person with minor injuries on Sunday.
The crash happened on U.S. Highway 14.
Authorities say a Jeep Liberty driven by Christine Stark of Springfield started to slide. The vehicle then went into the ditch and rolled once. The 45-year-old driver received minor injuries.
A four-year-old child in the SUV was not injured.
The state patrol says both occupants were wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash.
