Mankato's top school administrator gets a statewide honor.

Sheri Allen, Superintendent of Mankato Area Public Schools, has been named an Administrator of Excellence by the Minnesota Association of School Administrators.

Each year, the MASA recognizes administrators for their positive contributions to education by taking risks and being innovative.

"I work with a great team of administrators, teachers, staff, and I just think it's a reflection on our school district and our region" says Allen.

Her award will be presented at the MASA Spring conference March 14-15 in Brooklyn Park.
