MANKATO , MINN. -
Families from all over southern Minnesota came to Mankato to check out the third–annual Baby and Kids Expo. Starting around nine this morning more than 2,000 people came to the Verizon Wireless Center. The expo's creator Karren Grabianowski says she wanted to create an event that everyone in the family could enjoy and get people out of the house. Grabianowski says, "It's just kind of a fun time of year when winter is kind of getting old for everybody and families can come and have a fun day out."
The expo had more than 50 exhibitors ranging from informational booths for parents, to many fun activities for kids including a petting zoo and a batting area. The event wrapped up around two this afternoon.
