MANKATO , MINN. -
The last snowfall got plenty of people out this weekend enjoying the winter weather. A slew of skiers and snowboards were out at Mount Kato this weekend. The resort got around eight inches of powder, much to the delight of people hitting the slopes. Mount Kato general manager Jeff Putrah says, "The fresh snow does bring people out. It's a mentality thing we've got the snow here, but anytime there's a little more fresh snow on the ground or natural snow it creates more enthusiasm for everybody."
Mount Kato hasn't had to make snow since January. Spokespeople say this weekend they had a significant increase in customers taking to the slopes.
