MANKATO , MINN. -

Students and farmers flocked from all over southern Minnesota to attend South Central College's fifth annual Agriculture Symposium. This year's theme "Tools for New Rules" is designed for all agricultural producers. Chris Barron says he's here to talk to the attendees about networking, which he says is more important than ever right now. Barron says, "All of the things that are occurring in agriculture right now requires us to kind of work together because things are more complex now than they've ever been and they'll continue to get much more complex."

The symposium features breakout sessions ranging from financial communications to water quality. It's $119 to take part in the one day event. All money raised from the symposium goes toward student scholarships.
