An administrator at Winona State University is the next president of Southwest Minnesota State University in Marshall. The MnSCU Board of Trustees appointed Connie Gores Tuesday. She starts her new duties July 1, 2013. Gores served at Winona State since 2007 as Vice President for Student Life and Development, and was interim president there last summer. Southwest State served more than 6,500 students last year.
