A stubborn winter storm stalled out over most of eastern Iowa last night, dumping anywhere from 5 to 9 inches of snow. Of course traffic was snarled on many major roadways and there were numerous accidents. In one, a semi truck driver lost control, sending his big rig into a ditch. He was trapped for a while, but was eventually freed and taken to a local hospital for treatment.
