FARIBAULT COUNTY, Minn. -

A car versus deer collision in Faribault County has turned fatal.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, Catherine Treanor of Mapleton was traveling  on U.S. Highway 169 when her car struck a deer.

The animal carcass entered the front windshield, and exited through the rear windshield during the crash.

Authorities say the vehicle Treanor was driving spun out and struck a utility pole.

Treanor was airlifted to Rochester after the collision. She was 45-years-old.
