Gustavus Women's Hockey Wins D-III Opener, Beats UWRF 2-1

The Gustavus women's hockey program got the Division-three national tournament underway on Saturday.
The Golden Gusties looked to advance to the final four and continue their undefeated season when they hosted U-W River Falls at Don Roberts Ice Rink.
It was a 1-1 game in the 2nd period before Leah Johnson tipped in the go-ahead goal for the Golden Gusties.  From there it would be all Lindsey Hibbard, as the Gustavus goalie stopped the Falcons the rest of the way for the 2-1 victory to advance the Gusties to the Final Four at UW-Superior next weekend.
