Minnesota -
The Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA) is encouraging people to check their toilets for leaks. A silent toilet leak can quietly "rob" a home of up to 300 gallons of water each day. According to the MPCA, some 20% of all toilets have a water leak, but the problem often goes unnoticed. The agency is offering a free packet of leak detection tablets to any interested household in Minnesota upon request. Experts recommend that toilets be checked for leaks on a semiannual or annual basis.
