The WCHA honors several members of the MSU-Mankato Maverick hockey team. In his first year as bench boss of the Mavs, Mike Hastings is named W-C-H-A Coach of the Year. Double kudos for freshman net minder Stephon Williams. He is named Rookie of the Year and Goaltending Champion! In addition, senior forward Eruiah Hayes and sophomore forward Matt Leitner were named to the All-WCHA team. The puck drops for the first play-off game tonight at 7:07 at the Verizon Wireless Center. The Mavs taking on Nebraska Omaha. It is a best of three series.
