JANESVILLE, Minn. -

The cold weather didn't stop Waseca and Janesville residents from going out and celebrating Saint Patrick's Day weekend. The two towns trade off on hosting the event each year. Hundreds of people braved the temps— lining up to march in the Parade of the Clans through Janesville. Parade chair Ben Burns says, "It's never too cold to have a parade we're in Minnesota. You know last year it was 80 degrees. This year its 25 or 30, we're used to it."

Burns says the two towns have a strong population of Irish Catholics, and plenty of people who are "Irish at heart" that attend this event every year. Tonight the town was also scheduled to crown a new Miss Saint Patrick and Miss Irish Rose.
