WALDORF, Minn. -

Waldorf's new charter school held a pancake breakfast–fundraiser today . The charter Technical Academies of Minnesota seeks to prepare students for work in various vocational careers. The Minnesota Department of Education recently approved the school, but the charter has a ways to go in fundraising. About $250,000 is needed to get the facility up and running. More than 150 people attended today's event. And officials say they're pleased with turnout. Officials hope the new charter school will be up and running by this fall.
