Last updated on October 29, 2019

Actress Sunny Leone was blasted on social websites for replicating for charity an art originally painted by French illustrator Malika Favre. The anonymous Instagram accounts Dietsabya called the similarity out on Monday, sharing snapshots of comparable photos of Favre along with Sunny’s painting.

Left: first by @malikafavre; appropriate: by @sunnyleone,” the photo was captioned. This compelled the Instagram accounts to phone out the actor on social networking.

The celebrity soon replied she hadn’t copied the original art but has been given a picture from which she brought her painting. Simply to provide you with the appropriate info, I was provided a picture of the piece of artwork. Then I chose to paint it! At no moment did I assert to think of the idea. I painted a bit of artwork which I saw and adored. It needs to be regarded as a compliment since it had been contributed to cancer sufferers for charity.

Sorry, you do not like the version I opt to make while assisting kids in Need. The painting wasn’t about me or you. It had been about trying to help! Keep producing.”

Dietsabya subsequently shared Favre’s answer to Sunny’s painting in their own Instagram stories.

“Sunny Leone a charge could have become the minimal… Intellectual property is something you understand? Imagine if I did not need a copy of my job to be reproduced by you and auctioned? The reason is commendable, the mindset much.”
