Another whistleblower has come forward, this one with firsthand advice of the events which triggered an impeachment investigation of President Donald Trump for alleged misuse of power, the informant’s attorney said Sunday.
“I will affirm this report of another #whistleblower being symbolized by our legal staff,” Mark Zaid stated on Twitter. “Besides, they made a protected disclosure under the law and can’t be retaliated against. This user has firsthand understanding.”
Before Sunday, Zaid’s co-counsel, Andrew Bakaj, stated his company and staff”represent numerous whistleblowers” from the instance accusing Trump of working with the forces of his office to pressure Ukraine’s new president Volodymyr Zelensky at a telephone call to research political rival Joe Biden and his son Hunter.
It was unclear if Bakaj was using”several” to refer to over two whistleblowers.
The occurrence of a whistleblower claiming firsthand understanding of this telephone call could make it more difficult for the president and his fans to dismiss the original complaint as hearsay.
