The truth is out there: The Milky Way May be home to 36 alien civilisations, say scientists

It is a cosmic question that has stumped humankind for generations: Can there be intelligent life beyond the world?

There is no conclusive proof that aliens are in fact on the market, but a new study claims our galaxy may be home to 36 civilizations on other planets.

The analysis claims that if life could evolve other Earth-like planets, three dozen” smart civilizations” could exist throughout the Milky Way. They must also be capable of broadcasting signals in areas in precisely the same manner that people do.

“How we define it’s something, and intellect, that communicates through technologies such as radio waves, delivering lasers into the area, optical lighting moving into space, such as from our towns, that type of thing,” explained Christopher Conselice, a professor of astrophysics at the University of Nottingham and a co-author of their research newspaper, published in the Astrophysical Journal.

The findings hinge on a range of assumptions.

“The major calculation entails understanding the number of stars in our galaxy might be old enough to sponsor existence,” Conselice stated in a meeting on Euronews Tonight.

Therefore, why haven’t we heard from any other lifestyle yet? That is a decades-old question, also referred to as the Fermi paradox.

Conselice supposes that it is because these kinds of communication civilizations have been”very rare” and also their lifetimes perhaps not quite long.

“So we simply have not been able to discover them yet. Plus they have not been able to discover us since we have just been emitting light, such as radio waves to the galaxy for approximately 100 years — and 100 light-years are how much that might have traveled, but that is not so much,” he explained.

“It is just they’re so far off,” he added, predicting it might require”thousands of years” for radio emissions from Earth to achieve them.
