The US has accepted the anti-malarial medication chloroquine to be used as a treatment contrary to the new coronavirus, President Donald Trump stated Thursday.

“We are going to have the ability to earn that medication available almost instantly, and that is where the FDA (Food and Drug Administration) was so good,” Trump told reporters.

“They have gone through the approval process — it has been accepted. They shot down it out of many, many months into instant. So we are likely to have the ability to earn that medication available by prescription.”
