1 dead in Washington DC shooting: What we know up to Now

One man was killed and five others injured on Thursday in a shooting on the streets of Washington, DC, not far from the White House, authorities said. The episode happened from the parking lot of an apartment block.

Here Is What we know so far:

*The gunfire erupted at the Columbia Heights area, about two miles (three kilometers ) in the White House on Thursday night about 10 p.m., also occurred outside in a courtyard of an apartment building, Reuters reported quoting authorities.

“That may be an accurate appraisal as numerous shell instances were retrieved, said Metropolitan Police commander Stuart Emerman.

*Authorities haven’t apprehended a defendant as of late Thursday and don’t understand the reason for the shooting,” said Emerman. He explained it’s not an energetic shooting scenario.

  • Of the five injured victims of the shooting, two have been considered significant, and other accidents ranged from severe to small, but all were expected to survive their injuries,” he said.
