2 London police officers sanctioned after’Bothering’ arrest on black Guy

London’s Metropolitan Police have suspended an officer and eliminated from operational obligation another one.

The move comes following a movie circulated on social websites revealed them arresting a black guy in Islington, north London, on Thursday evening.

From the movie, an officer seems to put his knee on the man’s throat while he is pinned to the floor, as another officer will help to keep down the man.

From the footage, the handcuffed man, called 45-year-old Marcus Contain, yells”Get off my throat!”

“A number of these methods utilized cause me great anxiety — that they aren’t educated in police training”, he added.

The arrest has been investigated by the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC).

Contains attorney, Timur Rusten, stated on Saturday that the episode”mirrors nearly identically what happened to George Floyd” – a black man who died in May after a policeman was filmed along with his knee on his throat – and mandatory police an apology.

Contain was detained”on suspicion of affray and possession of an offensive weapon”, as stated by the authorities, and”stays in custody at a central London police station”.

He was charged with possession of a knife in a public location.

His attorney said he had been carrying it out to repair his bike.

Coutin intends to plead not guilty. An additional hearing is set for August 17.

The episode comes in the center of an international wave of protest against police brutality and racial discrimination in the aftermath of the passing of George Floyd.

Approximately 2,700 marched in France on Saturday calling for justice to Adama Traoré, a black man who died in police custody four years back in circumstances that remain unclear.
