40,000 toy soldiers Emphasize Conflicts of veterans transitioning to civilian life

An installation of thousands of toy soldiers has been placed on display in Manchester, England, to underline the plight many soldiers confront if their professions in the armed forces have been finished by injury.

The 40,000 plastic amounts in the setup at Manchester’s Arndale Centre signify the amount of specialists who were medically discharged within the previous twenty decades.

Forces charity Help to Heroes insists more must be performed in order to help veterans transition into civilian life.

A poll conducted on behalf of the charity found that 70 percent of the discharged stated the transition into civilian life was a negative encounter.
