5 dead in small plane crash into western Mexico

The state prosecutor’s office said that it had been exploring the day crash at the area of Las Juntas at the township of Madero. It stated the five dead was a preliminary figure.

Officials didn’t offer the identities of their victims.

Afterward, Michoacan’s public security bureau said the flight was considered to have originated from the northern province of Durango and was headed to the southern state of Guerrero. It said there were people aboard, but didn’t state if all had expired.

Pictures shared with the bureau on social websites seem to reveal that the aircraft upside down at a river. The region is approximately 285 miles (460 km ) west of Mexico City.
