Actor Allu Arjun over the weekend hosted a party to celebrate the achievement of his uncle Chiranjeevi’s most up-to-date launch Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy, that has spanned over Rs 200 crore globally in its opening weekend.
Arjun took to Twitter and wrote: “It was a joy for the total Allu household to sponsor a victory celebration for Sye Raa unit. So pleased to sponsor this to our Megastar together with several other directors and stars. The pleasure has been completely ours. Thanks, everyone was linking on behalf of their Allu family”
In the box-office, the movie had an excellent run in its opening weekend, grossing over Rs 300 crore global.
The movie, made by Ram Charan on funding of Rs 275 crore, also celebrities Sudeep, Vijay Sethupathi, Tamannaah Bhatia, Anushka Shetty and Nayanthara.
On registering the undertaking, Chiranjeevi had stated it had been his long-time urge to play a historical character.
“It has always been my dream to perform Bhagat Singh. Despite being offered the function back then could not play with it for many reasons and it was played by a number of my counterparts. It had been played by many actors across languages. I regret missing out on a chance to play the job since I do not think anybody wishes to make a movie on him now,” Chiranjeevi stated.
Initially, AR Rahman was signed to the job but he picked out citing insufficient time because of other obligations.
