Ayushmann Khurrana roped in by UNICEF, Indian govt to fight sexual abuse of Kids:’Discriminated against children are the most heinous’

Bollywood stars haven’t shied away from committing the weight of the stardom to different social causes. The actor was roped in by the authorities and UNICEF to raise his voice against the sexual abuse of kids.

“Ayushmann is heartened he can now give rise to the reason for building awareness against child sexual abuse. He wishes to do his very best to assist the authorities to eliminate such offenses.

The ministry intends to make people conscious of the security and legal aid the POCSO Act provides against child sexual abuse. “Ayushmann has taken a movie on this issue, requesting individuals to become vigilant about such barbarous offenses occurring around us and instantly raise voice against this disgraceful crime by reporting it to the concerned government,” says the insider.

The effort aims to reach out to individuals throughout the country via social networking, TV and theatre halls. “Ayushmann will encourage it in all phases,” adds the insider.

Contacted about the same, Ayushmann stated: “As a socially-conscious citizen, I wish to spread the word matters that require urgent care. POCSO (The Protection of Children from Sexual Offences) Act is an extremely significant step taken by the ministry to make individuals conscious of the security and legal aid which the action offers against child sexual abuse.”

The celebrity, who had been viewed in a socially-relevant movie, Article 15 (revolving around the caste system of India) earlier this season, considers such measures will go a very long way vis-a-vis India’s future. I applaud the authorities and UNICEF’s stance about protecting the future generations of the nation,” says the actor.

Work-wise, Ayushmann — later sending back-to-back strikes such as Article 15 and Fantasy Girl earlier this season — will shortly be observed at Bala and Gulabo Stobo. He’s also busy shooting Shubh Mangal Zyaada Saavdhan at Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh.
