British PM Boris Johnson in limbo after MPs Refuse his Brexit Strategy, early elections

Only six months after taking office, Johnson lost his majority in the House of Commons because his MPs combined opposition parties to prevent him from taking Britain from the EU following month with no bargain.

On Wednesday evening they accepted a bill that could force Johnson to postpone Brexit into January or even later if he can’t agree to depart terms with Brussels punctually.

Johnson says that he doesn’t need a”no price” depart October 31, but he should keep that option open to obtain an arrangement.

He explained the bill, that was being debated in the upper House of Lords to the night,” destroys the capacity of authorities to reconcile” — also said he had no choice to call an election to win a fresh mandate.

“If I am still prime minister later (the vote ) Tuesday, October 15 then we’ll leave on October 31 with, I expect, a far better deal,” he told MPs.

Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn stated he wanted an election he wouldn’t encourage the prime minister’s”cynical” telephone before the law penalizing”no price” had been implemented.

The default position is that Britain will depart the EU on October 31 unless it waits or asks to remain in the bloc.

Corbyn said: “Let’s bill, then obtain royal assent; then we’ll back an election we don’t wreck using a no-deal exit from the European Union.”

Johnson accused Corbyn of becoming fearful of shedding but advocated the opposition to rethink during the upcoming few days.

For the time being, he’s not able to pursue his Brexit strategy — that the central focus of his direction — or call an election which may alter the circumstance.

Across the Atlantic, US President Donald Trump before provided his aid, telling colleagues: “Boris knows how to win. Do not be concerned about him.

‘Sham’ discussions

Johnson occurred in July, three years following the 2016 referendum vote to leave the EU, promising to send Brexit whatever arises.

He says that he wishes to renegotiate the divorce agreement his predecessor Theresa May agreed with Brussels, while at precisely the same time speeding up preparations for a disorderly departure.

Johnson insisted that his group was making”considerable progress.”

However, the bloc has up to now refused to reopen the text, along with also a senior EU source poured cold water on the notion that a deal may be struck in the next month’s Brussels summit.

The European Commission says Britain has yet to think of another choice for its most contentious element of this present deal, the so-called”backstop” strategy for the Irish border.

Corbyn said the discussions Johnson spoke about”are a sham — all he is doing is running the clock.”

The European Commission also stated the probability of a”no price” depart has improved, a possibility many dread due to the financial harm exerted by severing 46 decades of UK-EU ties immediately.

MPs just returned from their summer vacation on Tuesday but had to move quickly as Johnson has controversially chosen to suspend parliament next week before October 14.

They had to vote to create time at the Commons to debate their laws; they forced through on Wednesday afternoon in just five hours together with the aid of rebel Conservatives.

The bill would require the authorities to postpone Brexit before January 31 unless it’s agreed on an exit agreement or procured MPs’ acceptance for”no price” from October 19.

Johnson stated it would”eliminate the right of the country to choose the length of time it has to stay at the EU and hands that electricity to the EU.”

To make the most of the bill must now be approved by the Lords, who had been searching to get a rare overnight sitting on Wednesday, with a few attracting sleeping bags to the room.
