Climate change activists are gearing up to the UN’s climate change summit (COP25) which starts in Madrid that Monday.
The yearly climate change conference began in Berlin in 1995.
“Let us be clear until our attempts to accomplish these goals have been completely inadequate,” stated UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres at a press conference before the summit.
“The commitments made in Paris would nevertheless result in a rise in temperatures over three degrees Celsius, but a lot of nations are not even fulfilling those obligations.”
It was a slow journey to attract countries worldwide to agreement on climate change, but a lot of men and women say there is a newfound initiative to produce real change.
