Covid: US charges Chinese Company for exporting Faulty respirators, says report

A Chinese company was billed for sending almost 500,000 faulty masks into the United States which were misbranded since N95 respirators, the US Justice Department said in a statement.

“A Chinese maker was charged now with exporting and producing into the USA in the middle of this Covid-19 pandemic almost half a million misbranded and faulty masks which purported to become N95 respirators,” the release said on Friday.

The organization, King Year Packaging, and Printing, for all the four counts faces a fine up to $500,000 or the entire profit and/or reduction, whichever is higher, according to the release.

The business was identified and billed because of the efforts of the Justice Department’s new Covid-19 Hoarding and Price Gouging Task Force, the release added.
