US President Donald Trump will provide a significant speech on spiritual freedom next week at New York where he’ll call on the global community to take concrete actions to stop attacks against individuals on the grounds of the religious beliefs, the White House has stated.
Donald Trump will sponsor and Supply keynote remarks in the International Call to Protect Religious Freedom occasion on Monday, September 23, in the United Nations Headquarters,” White House Press Secretary Stephanie Grisham stated on Tuesday.
Vice President Mike Pence is also in attendance and will present President Trump.
“The President will call on the global community to take concrete actions to stop attacks against individuals on the grounds of the faith or beliefs and also to make sure the sanctity of homes of worship and public spaces for many faiths,” Grisham said.
Trump is currently working on expanding international support for continuing efforts to safeguard religious freedom in the aftermath of rising persecution of individuals on the grounds of the faith and a rising number of attacks on and destruction of houses of worship from country and non-state celebrities, the White House official said.
