Dublin cancels St Patrick’s Day parade Because of coronavirus outbreak

Dublin has declared its conventional St Patrick’s Day parade on account of the worldwide COVID-19 coronavirus outbreak, the Irish broadcaster RTÉ reported Monday.

Two more instances of coronavirus were verified from the Republic of Ireland on Monday, bringing the entire number to 21.

In Northern Ireland, five individuals were diagnosed with the virus on Sunday, bringing the entire number to 12.

Ireland’s Health Minister Simon Harris reported the coronavirus epidemic is quite serious and the scenario would”demand not simply a whole of government strategy, but a whole of society strategy”.

Harris advised RTÉ’s Morning Ireland there was a moderate-to-high threat that Ireland would stick to a pattern found in other EU countries concerning this Covid-19 outbreak such as Italy, France, and Germany.
