EU rejects Notion of inviting Russia back to fold of G7

The EU has resisted the notion of inviting Russia back to the fold of encounters between major world economic forces.

Moscow was suspended out of what was subsequently the G8 in 2014 following the annexation of Crimea.

US President Donald Trump stated on Saturday the make-up of this present G7 is”very obsolete” which he intends to encourage Russia, Australia, South Korea, and India to attend another one.

Borrell stated it had been around Trump as G7 seat to issue guest invitations, stating that these invitations”signify the host priorities”.

However, to change the format or membership on a permanent foundation is”not the prerogative of the G7 seat”.

The get-together of leaders in the united states, Germany, France, Canada, Japan, Italy, and the United Kingdom was originally intended for 10-12 June but was postponed over coronavirus steps.
