The net fired back with vengeance in United States President Donald Trump afterward he mocked Korean movie Parasite’s sweep of the year’s Oscars. He had been in the re-election campaign rally at Colorado Springs when he steered against the movie along with the awards ceremony.
“How awful was that the Academy Awards this year? We have enough problems with South Korea, along with commerce. In addition to it, they provide them the very best picture of this year?” Trump asked. “Let us get one With the Earth’ He explained.
It made history by becoming the first non-English-language movie to acquire Hollywood’s largest annual trophy, Best Picture and also Best Manager for Bong. Meanwhile, the 1939 classic Gone With the Wind was criticized over the years because of its racist undertones.
Twitter users, that have been ecstatic about Parasite’s triumph, were incensed at Trump’s remarks. Since the movie was taken in Korean, audiences all around the world watched it with subtitles in English or other languages.
