Germany is about the search for somewhere to store its nuclear waste, and an interim report has pinpointed 90 possible websites.
Since the nation decommissions its nuclear energy centers, the arguments above where the waste ought to be buried are heating up.
Bavaria has declared no waste will be saved there.
“We’ve found 54 percent of this German land is potentially acceptable for permanent storage,” Stefan Studt, head of Germany’s waste management firm stated at the initiation of the interim report.
The listing of 90 will continue to be bogged down, until a website is supported by 2031, together with storage to start in 2050.
