Google will purchase Fitbit for nearly 2 billion euros, attempting to take on Apple and Samsung from the marketplace for fitness trackers and smartwatches.
First and foremost the information raised concerns over data privacy and security
Fitbit, which helped pioneer the wearable apparatus, stated: “The company never sells personal data, and Fitbit wellness and health information won’t be used for Google ads.”
Google echoes the announcement, adding that: “We’ll give Fitbit users the decision to examine, move, or delete their information.”
