They’ll take on Russia from the key two-match Tokyo Olympic Qualifiers following month.
“I feel that the wins in Belgium certainly promote the group’s confidence going in the FIH Olympic Qualifiers. There were lots of take-ups aways in the excursion and I am convinced that the team is prepared for the struggle against Russia,” Reid said in a statement.
He further said that playing teams such as Belgium and Spain could set the Indian group in good stead before their qualifier from Russia.
“It was a fantastic tour as the staff showed great intensity and could score from penalty corners and area objectives. Playing quality teams such as Belgium and Spain helps before a vital tie. The upcoming few weeks in camp will probably be about keeping our momentum up and becoming accustomed to the playing requirements in Bhubaneswar,” Reid stated.
