India vs South Africa: Wriddhiman Saha takes one-handed screamer to Eliminate De Bruyn

Diving into his right, he took a fantastic catch in the first innings to eliminate top-order batsman Theunis de Bruyn. On Sunday, as India enforced follow-on together with the Proteas monitoring by 326 runs, Saha took the following screamer behind the stumps to eliminate the same batsman from the 2nd innings.

The second happened in Umesh Yadav’s over. The right-arm quick bowler pitched a rescue outside leg stump, which de Bruyn flicked towards leg behind the stumps. Saha jumped towards his incorrect side to have a one-handed catch.

Saha’s efforts were appreciated by the whole group as they circled him around to congratulate the wicketkeeper. Saha was picked over Rishabh Pant largely due to his wicket-keeping abilities as well as the Bengal stumper justified his choice with his colorful glovework supporting the stump.

“Time and again, a lot of individuals from inside the group have talked about Saha and it is a no-brainer to state Saha is among the best moving around,” Ashwin said in the media conference.

“I’ve barely seen him miss anything in the demanding and now you noticed how he took Rabada’s (missed pay drive). It merely suggests what great pair of hands he’s obtained and Saha’s got good composure also and you can not rule out him with bat . He’s made some useful contributions. Fantastic personality and amazing keeper to get in the group,” he added.
