Gojek CEO and creator Nadiem Makarim said on Monday he’d resigned by the ride-hailing and obligations firm to combine the cabinet of President Joko Widodo.
“I have gotten a major honor to have the ability to join the cupboard,” Makarim told reporters in the presidential palace. Makarim said his particular role would be declared by the president later in the week.
Indonesia media have connected Makarim into a potential place in a brand new Digital Economy ministry or schooling.
Gojek didn’t immediately respond to requests for comment on who his successor is.
