Indonesia president Could delay cabinet announcement to Wednesday

Indonesian President Joko Widodo could delay declaring his cupboard until Wednesday afternoon, based on Mahfud MD, a former leader of the Constitutional Court, who stated he had been interviewed for a pole in the palace on Monday.

Mahfud told reporters that he had been requested by the president when he was prepared to function, but wasn’t told what place he would be awarded.

“On Wednesday we are invited to be declared to you all personally, we were called one by one now,” Mahfud informed Kompas TV in the presidential palace, including a swearing-in has been scheduled at 9 A.M. (0200 GMT) Wednesday.

On Sunday, Widodo said he intended to present ministers in his cabinet to get another sentence on Monday morning. No official statement was made on the cupboard.

Several other prospective candidates saw the palace on Monday afternoon, such as Nadiem Makarim, the chief executive of Indonesian ride-hailing and obligations firm Gojek, that has been connected in the media as a potential place in a brand new digital market ministry or in schooling.

“I have gotten a major honor to have the ability to combine the cabinet of the president,” Makarim told reporters in the presidential palace. Also, he stated he’s resigned from Gojek.

Gojek, that can be valued at $10 billion, didn’t immediately respond to requests for comment about who would triumph Makarim.

Widodo’s election campaign director Erick Thohir, who’s chairman of press company Mahaka Media, was likewise in the palace. Shares of Mahaka Media jumped 20 percent on Monday on hopes that Thohir, a former chairman of Italian soccer club Inter Milan, linking the cupboard.

Widodo has said that honored finance ministry Sri Mulyani Indrawati would maintain a position in the cupboard, but gave no additional specifics.
