Returns in the Iowa caucuses were substantially slower than anticipated on Monday night since the Iowa State Democratic Party said that it had been working on”quality commanding” results in the presidential caucuses.
The party said that it would release details regarding the results” when it passes quality management,” adding that it was carrying extra measures” from an abundance of caution”
“We’re doing our quality control tests, ensuring that the numbers are true. Individuals are still caucusing, we are working to record results shortly,” the party said.
Soon after 10:00 p.m. ET, zero results in the caucuses were reported, a much slower process than was anticipated. At roughly the same period from the 2016 caucuses, over half of the vote was reported.
