Manju Rani settled for a silver medal after Heading down from Russia’s Ekaterina Paltceva Through 4:1 verdict at the 48kg summit Battle at World Boxing Championships 2019 on Sunday. Together with her attempt, India expand its tally to four awards in the Championships in Ulan-Ude, Russia, together with three bronze (Mary Kom, Jamuna Boro and Lovlina Borgohain ) and Manju’s silver.
Having a silver triumph in her introduction World Championships, Manju Rani emulated Mary Kom’s 18-year-old record.
The Haryana fighter, that had been seeded sixth before the onset of the tournament competed in extreme conflict with the 2nd seed Russian.
