Actor-producer Margot Robbie expects more guys to turn up to see female-driven movies, like her most recent Birds of Prey, as she thinks they’ll have the ability to associate with these kinds of stories. Robbie is coming as Harley Quinn in Birds of Prey (As well as also the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn), where she serves as producer.
Directed by Cathy Yan, the DC movie has been written by Bumblebee scribe Christina Hodson.
Robbie stated she watches movies whatever the protagonists sex. “I expect that men watch movies with female prospects as far as they see ones with leads. ‘Cause I see movies regardless of the sex of the protagonist and discover a means to relate only to human behavior. I believe if more guys watch female-driven content they would find a way to associate too,” that the 29-year-old celebrity told Sky News in the premiere of the film.
The new movie is a spin-off of Suicide Squad that introduced Robbie as Harley Quinn. Robbie stated despite being a champion of women’s rights, she finally wanted the very best man for the directing task.
“It was a major priority for me to constantly seek opportunities for girls since they and get fewer chances. But in the conclusion of the afternoon, the ideal man for the job should find the job and when the very best man that came in was a man we’d have had a man directing this movie, but Cathy was the ideal man for this task,” she added.
This award season was a let down when it has to do with a scarcity of female nominees from the leading groups at this year’s BAFTAs and Oscars along with also the celebrity expects next year is much better. “I hope that is not the situation next year. I loved a lot of films this season, I loved films which were guided by incredible female directors too, but yeah, what do you do?” Robbie stated.
