Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount considers he’s the perfect instructor in director Frank Lampard to assist him in fine-tuning his burgeoning goalscoring ability, the 20-year-old has started. Mount, who performed Lampard in Derby County last year before after him to Chelsea, has scored two league goals in four matches to the London club and credits his powerful form into the Premier League club album goal-scorer.
“There’s no better man to learn more than him,” Mount, that could make his first senior England cap once they shoot on Bulgaria on Saturday, told reporters.
“After coaching, we do complete occasionally. I am speaking to him daily, particularly after the matches — what I could do, where I could make the runs and where I could get in the box.”
Lampard, who produced 648 looks scoring 211 targets for Chelsea involving 2001-2014, has encouraged young talent within his introduction few games and Mount is flourishing beneath the former England midfielder.
“When I called up last year, ” he (Lampard) sat me down into his office and stated I had been called up,” Mount said.
“It was a huge moment… that moment, he simply spoke to me and said,’you have been called again, enter it functioning like you have been performing at Chelsea’.
“It is such a thrilling time for English soccer. He said go there and enjoy playing soccer.”
