Mistaken for Mothers, US Lady on surprise House Trip shot by Mother

An American girl shot and injured her 18-year-old daughter once she showed up to cover a surprise visit, and also the mom believed there was an intruder in the home, reports said Wednesday.

The woman, arriving home from school for an unannounced trip, was struck in the arm but will endure Friday’s episode in Girard, Ohio, local TV channel WFMJ explained.

The mom had a licensed .38 Special revolver and was home alone when she heard the sound coming from the hall or kitchen, police chief John Norman advised the channel.

“She said that the bedroom door started where she had been — and she had a gun easily available and fired a round in a person coming through the doorway,” said Norman.

The mom was shocked to find out she’d taken her daughter,” said Norman.

A local district attorney will determine if charges are brought, ” he explained.

Gun ownership, allowed under the Second Amendment to the US constitution, is most prevalent in the United States.

The Gun Violence Archive states 1,112 individuals have perished in accidental shootings so far this season.
