NBA is coming to India, first-ever Match between Sacramento Kings and Indiana Pacers to Occur in October

National Basketball Association (NBA) India on Thursday declared the first-ever NBA match in the nation is going to probably be held in October at Mumbai. The NBA India Games 2019 will comprise the Sacramento Kings and Indiana Pacers that will play with two pre-season matches on October 4 and 5 in the Dome, NSCI, SVP Stadium at Mumbai. This will indicate the first matches that teams out of a North American sports league will perform in India.

Included in Reliance Foundation’s Education and Sports for All (ESA) initiative, the NBA will encourage 3,000 boys and women out of over 70 engaging Reliance Foundation Jr..

Besides the matches, the team and its partners will host interactive fan activities, Jr.. NBA occasions, an NBA Academy India development camp for girls, and NBA Cares community outreach efforts gaining lovers of all ages throughout Mumbai.

NBA program is a comprehensive youth development initiative which aims to build up the sport at the grassroots level and use the core principles of basketball – teamwork, respect, dedication and community – to favorably affect the lives of boys and women in India.

Since its launch in 2013, the program has reached over 10 million childhood from 10,000 schools around 34 cities also has coached over 10,000 physical education educators nationally.
