The two Neeraj and Hima didn’t participate in the recently concluded World Championships while Dutee didn’t qualify for the semifinals after a disappointing execution.
Dutee, who headed her very own 100m national record throughout the National Open at Ranchi, was appointed as a member of a nine-member women’s 4x100m relay team to be located in NIS Patiala. The two Neeraj and Hima have been known for the same camp.
Neeraj underwent a surgery on his knee in May and is on track to complete recovery whilst Hima pulled from this showpiece event in Doha at the eleventh hour because of her persistent back injury.
Shot putter Inderjeet Singh, who had been given a four-year ban from the Court of Arbitration for Sport earlier this month, was also contained in the record of NIS Patiala campers, but AFI afterward stated that his name will be eliminated.
“The listing of federal campers keeps on shifting and his title was previously there. Therefore, following his ban from the CAS, he can’t be there. We’ll remove his title,” that an AFI official stated.
The CAS had chased the National Anti-Doping Agency’s Appeal Panel decision to provide a clean chit to Inderjeet.
