Nine German police officers Researched over far-right WhatsApp Bands

Nine German police officers are accused of engaging in right-wing extremist WhatsApp talks.

Raids were carried out on many flats in western Germany on Tuesday afternoon, said a spokeswoman for the public prosecutor’s office at Duisburg.

The hunts were conducted concurrently in Essen, Mülheim an der Ruhr and Velbert within this analysis. Several devices were captured.

The suspects have been charged with incitement offenses and also for utilizing symbols of”banned unconstitutional organizations”. The nine officers are accused of posted accompanying images, audio, and video documents.

A total of 24 police officers have been accused of submitting anti-constitutional or incitement to hatred in WhatsApp groups.

The Duisburg public prosecutor’s office has confirmed that they’re investigating the officers above their online behavior.
