Over 20,000 individuals pelted each other with ripe berries Wednesday from the yearly Tomatina street struggle in a city in eastern Spain which has turned into a significant tourist attraction.
The celebration saw 145 heaps of berries offloaded out of six trucks to audiences packing Buñol’s roads for its midday hour-long battle.
The battle left players as well as the surrounding roads awash in red pulp.
Organizers hosed down the streets minutes after the event’s finish at a time while participants employed public showers or even the city river.
“It is simply wonderful. “It is was only a laugh a minute.”
The event, which costs 12 euros (approximately $13) to get the first ticket, together with 5,000 tickets booked for city residents and 17,000 for individuals from outside.
The event was held for 74 decades and has been motivated by a food fight between neighborhood kids in 1945 from the tomato-producing area.
The Bollywood movie, Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, famous for the fantastic destinations, was captured mostly in Spain and also featured a variation of La Tomatina, made on a movie set.
