Slovakian bus Accident kills at least 13 and injures many more

An accident involving a truck and passenger bus killed at least 13 people in western Slovakia on Wednesday and wounded many others, Slovak fire and rescue services said.

The incident occurred close to the town of Nitra, 90 km east of the capital, Bratislava.

Approximately 20 people were hurt and the number of casualties may grow, Rescue services stated on their Facebook page.

Authorities said several people stayed trapped on the bus.

No details were immediately available on casualties, which firm operated the bus or that which could have led to the crash.

Police posted photographs of the crash scene on Facebook, in which the bus could be viewed overturned on the side of the street.
